AVG is definitely the most popular free Antivirus solution. However, not much has been said about its commercial solutions. This review tries to evaluate if it’s worth subscribing to the payed version of AVG Internet Security 8.5.

I accidently downloaded a file (virus) from a website when I accidently hit OK before registering that it was for a download
. It was aggressive, setting & unsetting policies (to hide the changes), popping up loads of windows, installed 3 or 4 binary files, removed lots of important items from various menus, etc.. Free AVG completely ignored it! I had to remove it by hand – a complex & tedious but educational exercise. I lost a lot of confidence & respect in AVG that day. I also decided to campaign to bring back the death penalty for hackers & virus authers
