Character Map is one of those tiny Windows apps everyone ignores. This tutorial actually takes the time to explain this tool in detail, tell you what it does and how to use it. Really interesting!

I read the entire article, AND the link provided at the bottom for characters that don’t have a keystroke designated in the bottom right hand side of the character map. I’m not a programmer, nor do I know what any of those other terms mean in the 2nd article.
In the Character Map>Times New Roman, the character for “♥” has no keystroke code. Only the characters “U+2665″ on the left side. How, other than copy/paste, can I create these characters using some sort of keystroke? Or is it even possible? And BTW, the “U+2665″, is that hitting 5 keystrokes, or 6, beings you would count the “+” as one of them? I really don’t know.
Thanks!
