Thanks for your response – not seen till today as have been busy, among other things, changing both phone supplier and ISP.

Belarc advisor confirms your suggestion as” WD1600JS-75NCB1(hard drive)”, but this does not explain why I get so little info on HW monitor.

It’s not very important really, just curiosity I suppose.

Bob, it’s the free version. Your WDC is likely a Western Digital 160GB desktop drive.

Very interesting, I suppose, but all I can get is the assembly and air flow temperatures for WDC WD16 00JS-75NCB1 (whatever that is )

I wonder whether the screen shot in your article is of a paid version?
