Need to resize a disk partition on your Windows PC? Well, you can’t use Windows to do it! Instead you have to use third-party tools like Partition Manager. But why pay money? GParted is a Linux Live CD that lets you manage partitions easily and for free!

Uhm, I know this is still cool for people with earlier OSes, but you can re-size partitions on Windows 7. One of the first things I did after getting Windows 7 was to delete a small partition on my laptop and re-size the remaining partition to fill the space.
This is truly a great way to resize disk partitions. I used it when I had Windows XP installed on my home PC. It is very easy to use, is free, and works great. What more could you ask for?
You can resize partitions in Windows 7 and in Vista (it’s in Disk Management)
Yes, you can resize partitions in Windows Vista and 7, but you can’t resize the C:\ partition using Windows “expand volume” option. You can only do this between the other partitions.

Yeah but Disk Management lacks certain features and is not as easier to use. Trust me I am a geek but I prefer 3rd party Partition tools.
EASUS Partition Master is freeware (and for Windows) and stands up pretty good
