Remove unnecessary Twitter Connections to keep your Twitter account safe

Twitter Connections

If your Twitter account is hacked or if you feel that something fishy is going on with your Twitter account it would be worth considering the Twitter Connections that you have authorized. Sometimes out of excitement we might authorize some applications to use our Twitter account in their favor using OAuth (the methodology that asks you to allow third-party applications to access your Twitter account). Most of the time the issues with your Twitter accounts would be because of authorizing bad applications to act on behalf of your real account.

To remove unnecessary Twitter Connections just visit your Twitter account and then click on the Settings link at the top. Click on the Connections tab and you’ll be able to see the list of connections that you have. Click on the Revoke Access link to remove the connection from your Twitter account. Do this once in a while to keep your Twitter account in good standing.
