24 Short questions and tips for Outlook 2013
This doesn’t represent the final set of Outlook 2013 icons, does it? Seems like a real step backwards if it does. I’m all for simplicity, but this is practically 16bit. Flat black icons on a white backgound doesn’t look like a step forward.

Most of the icons and colors are pretty much in their final state and it does take a little bit of getting used to for some. It might be the other far end of the quite “loud” Outlook 2010 interface. Not maximizing Outlook 2013 on a large monitor and having a calm background worked for me (I’m using the solid blue background from my HowTo-Outlook website and only have a handful of Desktop items which I tend to hide).
That said, with enough feedback, there might be a slight chance that they end up adding an additional theme color for the final version.
